Who hasn't read the acclaimed Death Note by author Tsugumi Ōba ? In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the fifth volume of Shueisha Jump Remix announced that the Death Note manga will have a special project. So far, nothing much has been announced; the page also lists the date as March 3, 2014. Additionally, an website for the Death Note 10th anniversary has also appeared. More news soon.

The manga was first published in December 2003 by Shueisha in the Japanese weekly magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump, until May 2006 with a total of twelve volumes. It soon had 37 episodes developed by Madhouse and directed by Tetsurō Araki .

In Brazil, the manga series was published by Editora JBC. The last of the twelve volumes was released in June 2008, and the How to Read special was released in August 2008. In Portugal, the manga began to be sold in February 2012 by Editora Devir. The anime was shown in Brazil and Portugal by the local Animax and by SIC Radical.10
