Another anime will leave Japan and try its luck on the big screen in Hollywood. Adam Wingard, director of horror films such as 'The Guest' and 'You're Next', was hired to direct the Hollywood version of the manga 'Death Note'. The Hollywood Reporter was the one who brought this information.
Authored by the duo Tsugumi Oba and Takeshi Obata , the manga follows the story of Raito (Light) Yagami, a high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook, which causes the death of anyone who has their name written in it. Raito then starts killing all criminals and tries to create a world where evil does not exist, but his plans are thwarted by L, the greatest private detective in the world.
The Warner Bros. film will be based on the first three volumes of 'Death Note', published in Brazil by publisher JBC.
