My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

Another anime will leave Japan and try its luck on the Hollywood big screen. Adam Wingard, director of horror films like 'The Guest' and 'You're Next', has been hired to direct the Hollywood version of the manga 'Death Note'. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news.

Written by the duo Tsugumi Oba and Takeshi Obata , the manga follows the story of Raito (Light) Yagami, a high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook that causes the death of anyone whose name is written in it. Raito then begins killing all criminals and attempts to create a world without evil, but his plans are thwarted by L, the world's greatest private detective.

The Warner Bros. film will be based on the first three volumes of 'Death Note', published in Brazil by JBC.
