As announced, "Death Note" will get its own TV series with a completely new story for the audience.
The first photo of the cast. Kento Yamazaki (L-DK, Mare) will play the protagonist L, while Light Yagami will be played by Masataka Kubota, Akira Kiyosato from the live-action Rurouni Kenshin film. Completing the trio, Mio Yuki (Assassination Classroom) will play Near.
With a completely original story, the series arrives in Japan in June.
