The manga Dekin no Mogura by author Natsumi Eguchi has had its anime adaptation announced. However, fans can already watch the first teaser and promotional image for the series.

Therefore, the premiere will take place in July 2025 with animation by Brain's Base studio (Fumetsu no Anata e, In/Spectre). Hiroshi Ishiotori is directing , with character designs by Yoko Tanabe.
The series blends the bizarre and the comical to explore the mysteries of our world, where the living and spirits connect. A peculiar and immortal story is about to begin!
Dekin no Mogura Synopsis:
“I was banished from the other world, so I can’t die.” Mogura, a self-proclaimed “sage” of suspicious appearance, was banished from the spirit world and now tries to return by collecting the “flames” of souls in his lantern. They say that when you cross paths with him, you start to see strange things…
Therefore, Dekin no Mogura is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Natsumi Eguchi. The work began serialization in April 2021 in the seinen manga magazine Morning, published by Kodansha in Japan.
