The official Twitter account for Kurone Kanzaki's light novel "Demon Lord, Retry!" announced that the sequel, titled "Demon Lord, Retry! R," will receive an anime adaptation.

Synopsis
The Demon Lord continues his adventure in this revamped series! After encountering the mysterious entity on the lowest level of Bastille Prison, he sets off for Hellion Territory, where Great Demons vie for domination of the realm. With the addition of a new advisor – the (seemingly) optimistic Akane – the Demon Lord's army becomes even more diverse, and his antics even crazier.
Minotake launched the manga “Demon Lord, Retry! R” on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website and app in March 2020. Futabasha published the manga’s sixth volume on January 13 and will publish the seventh volume starting August 30.
The Demon Lord, Retry! series has 1.9 million copies in circulation.
