Originally, Muzan was a sickly human with little time left to live, so he lived under the care of a doctor. He received a medicine made from a flower called the Blue Spider Lily, but Muzan believed there was no saving him and killed his doctor out of spite.
The medicine cured the villain and turned him into the first demon in history, but he became vulnerable to sunlight and gained a desire to devour humans. So he spent hundreds of years searching for the Blue Spider Lily to become completely immortal. However, he never found the flower after recklessly murdering his doctor. Since then, Muzan has created numerous demons across Japan to find the flower or a way to overcome his only weakness.
Synopsis:
After defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District, Tanjiro needs to go to the blacksmith village to forge a new sword, since his old weapon was damaged. However, on the way, he encounters new demons sent by Muzan, with the mission of killing the blacksmiths. Without the blacksmiths, the demon slayers will have no swords to fight the demons. So Tanjiro and his friends must fight the Upper Moon demons again to stop them.
Thus, the first season of Demon Slayer premiered in April 2019 , becoming a hit with the film. The second season premiered on December 5, 2021, in Japan. Finally, the third season premiered on Crunchyroll following the release of the film To the Swordsmith Village – World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
