Originally, Muzan was a sick human who had little time to live, so he lived under the care of a caregiver. He received a medicine made from the flower called Blue Spider Lily, but Muzan believed he was beyond salvation and killed his doctor out of spite.
The medicine cured the villain and turned him into the first demon in history, but he became vulnerable to sunlight and gained a desire to devour humans. So he spent hundreds of years searching for the Blue Spider Lily to become a complete immortal. However, he never found the flower after he recklessly murdered his doctor. Since then, Muzan has created several demons across Japan to find the flower or a way to overcome his only weakness.
Synopsis:
After defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District, Tanjiro needs to go to the blacksmith village to forge a new sword, as his old weapon was damaged. However, on the way, he comes across new demons sent by Muzan, with the mission of killing the blacksmiths. Without blacksmiths, hunters will have no swords to fight demons. So Tanjiro and his friends have to fight the demons of the Upper Moons again to stop them.
Therefore, the 1st season of Demon Slayer premiered in April 2019 , making the film a successful phenomenon. The second season premiered on December 5, 2021 in Japan. Finally, the 3rd season premiered on Crunchyroll after the release of the film To the Swordsmith Village – World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
