Ufotable Aniplex and Slayer continue to fuel expectations for : Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinite Castle with a new promotional image. This time, the spotlight is on none other than Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira and eternal fan favorite.

Demon Slayer: Infinite Castle

However, Tengen stood out for mastering the Sound Breathing style, a unique technique that uses rapid movements and loud sounds to confuse and attack enemies. Thus, he officially retired at the end of the Entertainment District arc. Since then, he has worn his hair loose and sported a new eyepatch, adopting a different but equally striking look.

Although he left the Demon Slayer Corps, Tengen continues to appear as a supporting character and currently features in promotional material for the highly anticipated Infinity Castle. This new artwork is part of a special set featuring the other Hashira, released by Aniplex and Ufotable, as part of the 100-day to the film's premiere in Japan, scheduled for July 18, 2025.In the United States and Canada, the premiere will take place on September 12. It's worth remembering that the film will be the first in a trilogy adapting the Infinity Castle arc from the manga.

Will Infinity Castle surpass Mugen Train?

Undoubtedly, Demon Slayer has earned its place as one of the most popular and lucrative anime franchises today. In 2020, the film Mugen Train surprised everyone by surpassing US$500 million in worldwide box office, becoming the highest-grossing Japanese film in history—even amidst the pandemic.

Currently, fans are wondering: Will Infinity Castle be able to repeat or surpass this feat? After all, the two subsequent films — To the Swordsmith Village and To the Hashira Training — grossed significantly less, totaling US$56 million and US$44.4 million, respectively.

However, Aniplex is investing heavily in promoting Infinity Castle. In addition to new artwork, the production company is collaborating with Gyoda in Saitama to create a 28,000 m² rice sculpture of Tanjiro, attempting to break a world record. Therefore, expectations for the film are higher than ever.
