Kanao Tsuyuri hasn't yet shown her true abilities in the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba , but the character managed to become very popular among fans right from the start. So Shueisha released a new promotional video in celebration of Kanao's birthday.

Kanao's birthday is on May 19th, so the official Shonen Jump released this Demon Slayer video in honor of the character. Presenting the manga's frames, the video gives a brief summary of Kanao's history. Furthermore, the video shows her interacting with Tanjiro , and meeting Shinobu and Kanae , who are very important characters for her trajectory as well.
Synopsis:
After defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District, Tanjiro needs to go to the blacksmith village to forge a new sword, as his old weapon was damaged. However, on the way, he comes across new demons sent by Muzan, the main villain of the plot, with the mission of killing the blacksmiths. Without blacksmiths, hunters will have no swords to fight demons. So Tanjiro and his friends have to fight the demons of the Upper Moons again to stop them.
Therefore, the 1st season of Demon Slayer premiered in April 2019 , making the film a successful phenomenon. The second season premiered on December 5, 2021 in Japan. Finally, the 3rd season premiered on Crunchyroll after the release of the film To the Swordsmith Village – World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
