Demon Slayer – Opening musician comments on the new season of the anime

The anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba always returns with a striking opening, which is why the music for the Vila dos Ferreiros arc was composed jointly by the band MAN WITH A MISSION and the singer milet . Jean-Ken Johnny , guitarist and vocalist of MAN WITH A MISSION, spoke in an interview with Anime News Networks about what it was like for his band to work together with singer Milet.

“I believe Milet has a genuine voice that contains emotion and passion and also a touch of darkness that perfectly matches the vibe of the animation.

I made the melody for the bridge, imagining how she would sing.”

The musician also talks about the experience of working with Demon Slayer, saying that he feels very happy to have the chance to work with such a unique anime.

“Working on Demon Slayer has been a privilege. I wanted the music to convey the message of what this series is about, but I also wanted the music to be a summary of the entire story at the same time.”

The band MAN WITH A MISSION became very famous in Japan for having sung the opening of Nanatsu no Taizai , the fifth season of My Hero Academia , Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans and Vinland Saga . The musical group is also known for always performing in wolf masks.

Therefore, the 1st season of Kimetsu no Yaiba premiered in April 2019, making the film a successful phenomenon. Finally, the second season premiered on December 5, 2021 in Japan. In addition, the 3rd season premiered on Crunchyroll after the release of the film To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
