The success of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has been evident since its first season, and new episodes of the anime continue to dominate Japanese TV ratings. The third season, which adapts the Blacksmith Village, is enjoying high viewership in Japan and was one of the most-watched anime in April.

The Anime News Network recorded the viewership of anime on Japanese TV at the end of April, and Demon Slayer came in second place. Episode 3 of season 3 had a 6.4% viewership rating in the Kanto region on Sunday the 23rd. Furthermore, the anime's viewership surpassed that of other popular anime such as Detective Conan and One Piece.
In the ratings list, Demon Slayer came in second only to Sazae-san, which had a score of 8.0%. You can check out the full list at this link.
Synopsis:
Tanjiro awakens from a coma after defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District and needs to go to the blacksmith village to forge a new sword, as his old weapon was damaged. However, on the way, he encounters new demons who are under orders from Muzan, the main villain of the story, to kill the blacksmiths. Without the blacksmiths, the demon slayers will have no swords to fight the demons. So Tanjiro and his friends must fight the Upper Moon demons again to stop them.
Thus, the first season of Kimetsu no Yaiba premiered in April 2019, becoming a successful phenomenon with the film. Finally, the second season premiered on December 5 , 2021 in Japan. Furthermore, the third season premiered on Crunchyroll after the release of the film To the Swordsmith Village - World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
