The anime fan page Mario held a poll last week, asking its followers who the best protagonist of the new generation of anime is. The poll received over 65,000 votes, with Tanjiro Kamado from Demon Slayer winning. The voting list also included the protagonists of Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, My Hero Academia, Black Clover, and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Following Tanjiro, Asta came in second place.
Synopsis:
After defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District, Tanjiro needs to go to the blacksmith village to forge a new sword, since his old weapon was damaged. However, on the way, he encounters new demons sent by Muzan, the main villain of the story, with the mission of killing the blacksmiths. Without the blacksmiths, the demon slayers will have no swords to fight the demons. So Tanjiro and his friends must fight the Upper Moon demons again to stop them.
Thus, the first season of Demon Slayer premiered in April 2019 , becoming a successful phenomenon with the movie. The second season premiered on December 5 , 2021 in Japan. Finally, the third season premiered on Crunchyroll after the release of the movie To the Swordsmith Village – World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
