Warner Bros. Japan has released a teaser for the anime Demons' Crest , based on the light novel by Reki Kawahara ( Sword Art Online and Accel World ). The video confirms the premiere for 2026 and introduces the first names of the cast and main staff involved in the production.

Haruka Shiraishi will voice the protagonist Yuma Ashihara, while Konomi Inagaki will play Sawa Ashihara. The production brings together well-known names in the industry, indicating a project structured from the beginning for a television adaptation of the original material.

Shinji Ushiro will direct the anime Production IG studio . Kenichiro Komaya will direct the anime. Eiji Umehara will supervise the script, while Yukiko Horiguchi, the original illustrator of the novels, will adapt the character designs.

The story blends VR and survival elements
The story takes place in 2031, when the first "totally immersive" VRMMORPG, Current Magic , turns fun into tragedy. Meanwhile, an entire class of sixth-grade students becomes trapped inside the game. The protagonist, Yuuma , must fight to survive while watching his classmates turn into monsters. On the other hand, his only chance of resistance arises with Valac , the demon who possessed his twin sister. Thus, Yuuma begins a desperate search for his missing friend, Nagi .
