The official website for the Dorohedoro has released new information for fans of the series. Additionally, a new promotional image has been shared on social media.
Dorohedoro anime takes place in 2025 with animation by the studio MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan). Yuichiro Hayashi , director of the 1st season, returns to direct the new season of the anime.
Synopsis
In a desolate city known only as "the Hole," a clan of sorcerers has been taking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs in experiments in the dark arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido encountered Caiman, a reptilian-headed man with a severe case of amnesia. To try to undo the spell, they hunt and kill the Sorcerers of the Hole, hoping that eventually they will kill the right one. But when En, the chief Sorcerer, receives word that a lizard-man is killing his people, he sends a team of "cleaners" to the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds .
Finally, the first season of the anime premiered on Netflix in January 2020 with 12 episodes. Netflix streamed the series outside Japan in May 2020.
