In Chapter 103, we are presented with the conclusion of the fight between father and son, where Gohan may have shown that he is the strongest hero in the shonen universe. Spoiler alert: If you haven't yet read the latest chapter of the Dragon Ball Super manga, Chapter 103, be prepared to enter serious spoiler territory.
Since Gohan obtained his new Beast Form transformation in the latest movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, many fans have wondered how Gohan compares to his father, Goku. Although Goku's Ultra Instinct has undergone some changes since he first obtained it during the Tournament of Power.
Gohan's Victory and Goku's Defeat
Although we don't have a definitive answer as to which form is stronger, Gohan in his Beast form manages to hit his father with considerable impact. In a shocking twist, Gohan manages to be fast enough to overcome Goku's Ultra Instinct, proving that he can surpass it. However, the fight doesn't so much give us a winner, but opens the door for a confrontation between Gohan and Broly.
Therefore, Dragon Ball Super is on indefinite hiatus, and the future without Akira Toriyama is uncertain. Upon announcing Toriyama's death, the official Dragon Ball website confirmed that the shonen creator was still working on several projects related to the saga, and the status of these projects remains a mystery.
