Mystic Gohan is officially revealed to fans
Fans know that this form gained the name Ultimate/Mystic thanks to games and guides popularized online by the fandom, but no one ever officially called it that in the manga and anime . Therefore, for this transformation to be made official, we had two important names in the way.
Goten and Trunks
All of this happened in chapter 102 of the Dragon Ball Super manga. In the middle of the fight, Gohan ends up transforming into his Mystic form, and Goten and Trunks say it's cheating. Gohan asks them: "What is Ultimate?" And Goten and Trunks explain to him that this is the name they gave to this transformation, since it didn't have a name.
However, fans took to social media to comment on the character's transformation into his Ultimate/Mystic form:
- The mystical form wasn't even supposed to be a transformation
- I really liked that, especially because it makes it easier for the characters to talk about the shapes within the story, and for Kami-sama's sake, we've all been using that name for over 20 years, why couldn't the characters too? 🙂
