Bandai Namco confirmed during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 that the project “ Age 1000 ” is, in fact, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3. The new game in the franchise will arrive in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

During the presentation, the company revealed the first visual details, including the design of a female version of the player character and a new character named Brett. The project had already been in development for about 6 to 7 years.
The game is part of a previously announced partnership with Toei Animation . According to Akio Iyoku, creator Akira Toriyama directly participated in the creation of the world, characters, and other elements of the game. Furthermore, the title will feature an original, never-before-seen character created by him.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is an action RPG based on Toriyama's work, focusing on time travel and battles that alter classic events from the series. The game blends character customization with dynamic combat within the Dragon Ball universe.
The first Dragon Ball Xenoverse was released in 2015 for consoles and PC. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 arrived in 2016 and has received several updates over the years, including versions for new platforms such as Nintendo Switch and current-generation consoles in 2024.
