After the airing of the last episode of this season of the Edens Zero anime , the franchise's official Twitter announced the death of director Yuushi Suzuki .
The director's death occurred on September 9 at a Tokyo hospital .
However, the anime staff confirmed that the adventures of Shiki and his friends will continue , and also thanked the fans for their viewership .
Suzuki worked as an animator on several series such as Fairy Tail, Valvrave the Liberator, and Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream. He then directed episodes of Fairy Tail's third season, Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table, Cardfight!! Vanguard GZ, Talentless Nana, Chou Soku Henkei Gyrozetter, and other series. Edens Zero was the first full series he directed.
Synopsis:
Accompanied by her talking kitten Happy, young Rebecca travels the world recording videos to share on the Aoneko channel, a sort of YouTube channel in the Edens Zero universe. One day, the duo travels to the Kingdom of Granbell, an abandoned amusement park inhabited only by robots. The two are having a great time when a mysterious boy introduces himself as Shiki. Who is this boy, and what could he be doing in this place full of robots?
The anime arrived in Japan on April 10, 2021, animated by studio JC Staff , with chief director Shinji Ishihara (Fairy Tail, Log Horizon), under the direction of Yuushi Suzuki .
