Synopsis
Long ago, a powerful Demon Lord ruled the village until an equally powerful hero rose up to defeat him. To contain future threats, Rosewood Academy, a school for heroes in training, was created. But today, Rosewood Academy admits only the best of the best, and Arnest Flaming is the best of them all. The school's top student, an obedient girl nicknamed the 'Empress of Flame,' has an unnerving encounter with a cheerful boy in the school hallway who seems to match her powers, though she's never seen him before. He introduces himself only as Blade, and Arnest soon discovers that not only is he transferring to the school as a new student, but that she's personally requested by the King to help him adjust to everyday life at Rosewood Academy.
Directed by Keiichirou Kawaguchi (Naruto, Mayo Chiki!) at Actas, scripts by Naoki Hayashi (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu) and character designer by Kousuke Kawamura (Mayo Chiki!).
Therefore, VTuber Kaede Higuchi is performing the anime's opening theme song, while Akane Kumada is performing the ending theme song.
Author Shin Araki published the first volume of the novel in January 2015, with illustrations by Haruyuki Morisawa.
Koara Kishida launched a manga adaptation based on the novel in Ultra Jump magazine 's Shueisha in February 2015. Furthermore, Shueisha released the manga's 12th compiled volume last year.
