Fans of Eleceed will have to wait a little longer to watch the animated adaptation of the popular webtoon. According to Amuse Creative Studio, a new official visual for the anime has been released, and they announced that the premiere has been postponed to 2027. Initially, the production was scheduled to arrive in 2026.

In addition to the change in schedule, the main team for the series was also detailed. Hiroshi Nishikiori, known for his work on Honey Lemon Soda and IDOLiSH7 the Movie LIVE 4bit BEYOND THE PERiOD, is directing the project at DandeLion Animation Studio, the studio responsible for the animation of The First Slam Dunk.

The scripts are overseen by Yousuke Kuroda, of My Hero Academia fame, while Minami Sakura is responsible for the character designs.

Synopsis

The story follows Jiwoo, a kind-hearted teenager with absurdly fast reflexes. However, his life changes unexpectedly when he saves a fat, furry, old cat. What he didn't realize was that this feline was actually a fugitive secret agent! Together, boy and cat must join forces to confront shadowy organizations that threaten world peace. But before that, they will have to learn to coexist—which may be the greatest challenge of all.

Launched in 2018, the webtoon blends supernatural action, intense combat, and humor, winning over readers in various countries.
