Evangelion franchise will turn 30 in 2025, and to mark the occasion, a brand-new mega-event is coming to Japan. EvaFest – EVANGELION: 30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION will take place from February 21st to 23rd, 2026 , at the Yokohama Arena. For the first time, the series will host a three-day festival, bringing together fans, the voice cast, and exclusive attractions.

The event will feature two main areas. In the EVA EXTRA 30 , visitors can explore the work's trajectory and its innovations. Highlights include the Virtual Camera Studio , which recreates the virtual camera system used in the battle between Unit-01 and the 13th Angel in Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 . Additionally, the public can watch episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion on CRT televisions, as seen in 1995, and visit the MATERIAL of EVA , featuring original artwork and rare production materials.

In the STAGE AREA , the festival promises memorable moments. The voice cast will be present at the opening ceremony. Meanwhile, the audience will see the long-awaited announcement of Eva Kabuki (working title) , the result of the partnership with Shochiku. There will also be a screening of a new global video every day, concerts featuring soundtracks from the series in the BACK TO NEON GENESIS project , and a special performance by Yoko Takahashi , performer of "A Cruel Angel's Thesis," in EVANGELION FLASHBACK .
