franchise Evangelion will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2025, and to mark the occasion, a mega-event is coming to Japan. EvaFest – EVANGELION: 30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION will take place from February 21st to 23rd, 2026, at the Yokohama Arena. For the first time, the series will have a three-day festival, bringing together fans, voice cast, and exclusive attractions.

The event will have two main areas. In the EVA EXTRA 30, visitors will be able to explore the history of the work and its innovations. Among the highlights will be the Virtual Camera Studio, which recreates the virtual camera system used in the battle between Unit 01 and the 13th Angel in Evangelion: 3.0+1.0. In addition, the public will be able to watch episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion on CRT televisions, as in 1995, and visit the MATERIAL of EVA, featuring original artwork and rare production materials.

In the STAGE AREA, the festival promises memorable moments. The voice cast will be present at the opening ceremony. Meanwhile, the audience will see the highly anticipated announcement of Eva Kabuki (working title), a collaboration with Shochiku. There will also be a world premiere video every day, concerts featuring soundtracks from the series in the BACK TO NEON GENESIS , and a special show by Yoko Takahashi, performer of "A Cruel Angel's Thesis," in EVANGELION FLASHBACK.
