The new film Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time has a new release date in Japanese cinemas. According to the official website, the film will be released in IMAX on March 8th.

Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 was scheduled to premiere on January 23, but the team reported that they were postponing the film again due to the new state of emergency declared in Japan on January 8. Furthermore, the film had previously been postponed due to COVID-19 . The film was originally scheduled to premiere in Japan on June 27, 2020.

Hikaru Utada returns to perform the theme song "One Last Kiss" for the film.

Finally, the first three films of the tetralogy arrived in 2007, 2009, and 2012, respectively.
