A fan-made project has once again stirred up social media and reignited the debate about a live-action Akira film . The profile Pierrick Chevallier , on X (formerly Twitter), published a concept trailer made with Artificial Intelligence , directly inspired by the 1988 classic.

The video recreates iconic scenes from Katsuhiro Otomo, imagining what a modern Hollywood adaptation would look like. Furthermore, the material features Tom Holland as Kaneda and Timothée Chalamet as Tetsuo, which quickly caught the attention of fans.

Meanwhile, Neo-Tokyo 's cyberpunk aesthetic emerges with a high level of visual detail. In this way, the trailer reinforces the potential of AI to create realistic concepts, even without official studio involvement. However, the video makes it clear that this is merely a creative experiment, with no connection to a real film in production.
