Studio MAPPA revealed on Friday the anime of Fall in Love, You False Angels (Koiseyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo), a romance manga created by Coco Uzuki. The announcement took place during a special broadcast commemorating the studio's 15th anniversary and confirmed the series' premiere for 2027.

The production will be directed by Yasutomo Okamoto, while Mariko Oka will be responsible for character design. Series composition will be supervised by Yohei Yamazaki. Art direction is in the hands of Takumi Hashimoto, with Kana Tanabe handling colors and Shunsuke Taniguchi in charge of cinematography.
The project also features editing by Ayumu Takahashi and animation production led by Yuriko Waki. Additionally, a promotional teaser was released alongside the announcement, revealing the first details of the adaptation.

The story follows Otogi Katsura, a class president admired by everyone for her kind appearance and exemplary behavior. However, away from the eyes of her classmates, she possesses a direct and impulsive personality.
Released in Dessert magazine in April 2023, the manga gained prominence in Japan. The work won the 2025 Kodansha Manga Award , received a nomination for the Shogakukan Manga Award , and was featured in the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guide for female readers.
