During the AnimeJapan 2016 event, the anime adaptation of the Fate/Extra game series was announced at the FateProject panel. This new anime in the Fate/Stay Night is titled Fate/Extra Last Encore and is scheduled for release in 2017. Details can be found on the official website that was launched.
Studio Shaft (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Bakemonogatari) will handle the animation. Type-Moon and Marvelous are credited for the original Fate/stay night game. Creator Kinoko Nasu will handle series composition. Aruko Wada is credited with character design.
