The official YouTube of the film Kamiarizuki no Kodomo by Cretica Universal published the first trailer for the film this Saturday (08/08).

The film was scheduled to release in 2020, but was postponed to 2021 due to COVID-19 .

Kamiarizuki (the month that has no gods) is another name for October in the lunar calendar of the Izumo region, inspired by the myth that gods from all over Japan go to the Izumo Taisha shrine that month. In other areas of Japan, it is called Kannazuki (the month that has no gods).

Synopsis

The film focuses on Kanna, a girl who lost her love for running after her mother passed away. One day, a rabbit named Shiro, who is a shinshi (messenger of the gods), and an oni boy named Yasha, appear to her. Kanna crosses the boundary between people and gods, and is invited to Izumo.

Main Cast

  • Aju Makita as Kanna
  • Maaya Sakamoto as Shiro
  • Miyu Irino as Yasha

Staff

LIDEN FILMS representative director Tetsuro Satomi is the project's animation producer, while Kazuya Sakamoto is the “creative director”. Toshinari Shinohe is in charge of planning and credited for original work, while Tanaka Shirai is credited with the original concept and animation director. Michihiko Suwa and Teppei Mishima are project planners and producers, while Haruka Sagawa is the character designer. Tetsuro Takita and Ryuta Miyake are writing the script.
