Square Enix has released a new trailer featuring gameplay footage of Final Fantasy VII : Remake, a game announced at E3 2015 that sees the return of directors Tetsuya Nomura and Kazushige Nojima from the original series.
In the video, we see Cloud and Barret battling against soldiers in a manner similar to the battle system of the old Final Fantasy Versus XIII, a project that has now been transformed into Final Fantasy XV.
In FF VII , the player takes on the role of one of the most beloved characters in the Final Fantasy series, Cloud Strife, a mercenary who is part of an eco-terrorist group led by the explosive Barret Wallace. The first mission is to blow up one of the Mako reactors (energy generated from the Lifestream, the "life" of the planet) belonging to Shinra, which controls much of the world.
