Netflix has announced an anime adaptation of Fool Night , a manga by Kasumi Yasuda published in Big Comic Superior magazine . The series will premiere worldwide in 2026 and marks the first collaboration between Sunrise and SHAFT studios , two major names in Japanese animation.

The work stands out for its dark science fiction set in a future where sunlight has virtually disappeared from Earth. In this scenario, humanity has developed a process called "transfloration," capable of transforming people into plants to maintain the balance of society.
