Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine , published by Shogakukan Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe manga Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (Soso no Frieren) will be going on hiatus. The magazine did not reveal when the manga will resume soon.
Synopsis
The demon king has been defeated, and the group of victorious heroes returns home before parting ways. The four heroes—the mage Frieren, the hero Himmel, the priest Heiter, and the warrior Eisen—reminisce about their decade-long journey as the time comes to say goodbye. But the passage of time is different for the elves, so Frieren witnesses her companions slowly dying one by one. Before his death, Heiter manages to introduce Frieren to a young human apprentice named Fern.
Driven by the elf's passion for collecting countless magical spells, the two embark on a seemingly aimless journey, revisiting the places heroes of old had once visited. Throughout their travels, Frieren slowly confronts his regret over missed opportunities to forge deeper bonds with his now-deceased companions.
Finally, Yamada and Abe launched the manga Frieren: Beyond Journey in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in April 2020.
