Fruits Basket gets a new spin-off anime!

The new anime spin-off of the Fruits Basket series has been revealed . According to the official Twitter account , the new work will be called Kyoko to Katsuya no Monogatari ( The Story of Kyoko and Katsuya ) and is expected to arrive in mid-2022.

Thus, the anime came to an end this month, and the studio TMS Entertainment (Dr. Stone, Megalobox), which produces the animation, released a special video above.

Synopsis:

The story follows Tohru Honda, a 16-year-old student who, after a family tragedy, secretly moves to an unsuitable location. She ends up living in a tent on the grounds of the mysterious Soma clan and is taken in by the family. There, she discovers a big secret of the owners: when embraced by people of the opposite sex, they transform into animals of the Chinese zodiac.

Finally, Fruits Basket was published in Japan from 1998 to 2006, totaling 23 volumes. In Brazil, the manga is published by JBC.
