A long wait for fans! The anime Gag Manga Biyori GO had a new season announced this Tuesday (03). That is, in total it would be the 5th season of the anime in 15 years.
Therefore, the animated series will premiere in the April 2025 season, with animation by Studio Deen.
The first anime adaptation was a short film animated by Toei during Jump Festa 2002. Studio Artland produced the first season and its sequel, while Studio Deen took over production of the third, fourth, and fifth seasons.
Gag Manga Biyori GO is a comedy manga series created by Kosuke Masuda. It began serialization in Shueisha's Monthly Shōnen Jump magazine in January 2000. Shueisha discontinued the magazine in June 2007 and transferred the manga to the newly launched Jump Square, where it continued publication until November 2014.
In the end, Shueisha compiled the chapters into a total of 15 tankōbon volumes.
