The official website for Suisei no Gargantia has revealed more details about the production of the new OVA, which will be divided into two parts. The first part willbe shown in 10 Japanese cinemas on September 27th . The second volumewill also arrive in cinemas in April 2014.

After Ledo and Reema meet, Ledo reflects on his former life in military service and how the life he now lives aboard the Gargantia is completely different.
Kazuya Murata will direct the OVA series at Production IG Nitroplus . Gen Urobuchi is supervising the story, and Daishiro Tanimura is handling the script. Hanaharu Naruko is designing the characters, and Masako Tashiro is adapting Naruko 's designs for animation , also serving as chief animation director .
