According to the Garo Creator's Night event , the first teaser for the animated series GARO , titled Garo–Honoo no Kokuin , based on the successful tokusatsu series in Japan, was released
Yasuko Kobayashi ( JoJo's Bizarre Adventure , Attack on Titan ) will write the new story , and Yuichiro Hayashi will direct . Studio Mappa ( Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis, Hajime no Ippo ) will handle the animation . The series is scheduled to premiere in Japan this fall.
Garo has a dark history revolving around humans tasked with becoming " Makai Knights ," people who fight against demonic beings called Horrors . The franchise's first TV series centers around Saejima , who tries to save a girl named Kaoru from her deathly fate after she is contaminated by demon blood .
The Garo Project began in 2005, with the first airing of the series in 2006, consisting of 25 episodes .
