The official website for the Garo: Honoo no Kokuin (Garo: Seal of Flames) series has released a new, much longer trailer. Based on the hit tokusatsu series in Japan, Garo will premiere in Japan this fall.
Yasuko Kobayashi (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Attack on Titan) will write the new story, and Yuichiro Hayashi will direct. Studio Mappa (Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis, Hajime no Ippo) will handle the animation.
Garo has a dark history revolving around humans tasked with becoming "Makai Knights," the people who fight against demonic beings called Horrors. The franchise's first TV series centers around Saejima, who tries to save a girl named Kaoru from her deathly fate after she is contaminated by demon blood.
The Garo Project began in 2005, with the first airing of the series in 2006, consisting of 25 episodes.
