After the intense battle between Satoru Gojo and Sukuna Jujutsu Kaisen fans finally start receiving answers. In a Question and Answer Session, Gege Akutami , creator of the work, revealed unpublished details that explain Gojo's defeat and point out which characters could really beat the king of curses.

According to Gege, only two wizards had real chances of defeating Sukuna during the confrontation in Shinjuku. The first, as many already imagined, was Gojo Satoru . According to the author, Gojo was about to win, but was eliminated from history because he was “too strong” and because the script still needed Sukuna longer. Gege confirmed that Sukuna himself recognized that Gojo could defeat him.
The second name surprises part of the fans: Hajime Kashimo . Even with less prominence, its power - the cursed technique Mythical Beast Amber - put Sukuna against the wall, with attacks impossible to avoid, even at the cost of his own life. In his weakened form in Megumi's body, Sukuna would have lost to Kashimo if the fight continued.
Other characters like Yuta , Higuuruma and Yuji Itadori also had opportunities for victory, but always in scenarios of cooperation and strategy. Still, it was Yuji who finally defeated Sukuna, consolidating his central role in the plot.
