Leakers have surprised the Genshin Impact community in recent days by releasing a series of leaks about version 5.8, scheduled for July 30th. The unofficial information points to the arrival of a new five-star Electro element character, a brand new sub-region on the map, as well as exclusive skins for popular characters.

Among the leaked details, highlights include the possible role of the new character as a support focused on Electro-Charged reactions, Bennett's return as the protagonist of a new event, and the expansion to a zone called Mare Jivari. Recognized leakers such as HxG, Kokomi, and Seele released the information and have already correctly predicted previous outcomes.

Leaks indicate new Electro support focused on reactions and of mysterious origin

According to leakers, version 5.8 will introduce a new female Electro element character. She will be a support unit focused on Electro-Charged reactions, suggesting strong synergy with Hydro characters. Sources compared the character's playstyle to Nilou's, but claim she doesn't have the limitations that restrict team composition.

The character's name has not yet been officially confirmed. However, leaks translated from Chinese indicate that she may be called Yennefer or Ineva. According to HxG, her origin is linked to a region called Nod-Krai, previously unknown within the official Teyvat universe. This information, although unverified, has generated speculation about a future playable nation.

HoYoverse is expected to unveil the character to the public during its drip marketing event on June 23rd, following the pattern of previous announcements. This will allow players to officially see her appearance and function before the start of the closed beta for the new version.

The new Mare Jivari area may mark narrative expansion and extreme challenge

Another relevant point from the leaks is the introduction of a new area on the map. Version 5.8 should include the Mare Jivari sub-region, briefly mentioned in in-game dialogue as a place of trials and dangers. According to the leakers, this new area will bring new challenges and connections to Natlan's lore, concluding the region's arc with narrative depth.

Sources also mentioned a complementary area called the Eternal Moon Tomb. Rumors indicate that it will have a direct connection to the Lavawalker artifact set, known for its affinity with the Pyro element. This connection could delve deeper into the themes of elemental conflict and the origin of the ancient artifacts.

The map expansion is seen as a transition to the end of the Natlan era, preparing the ground for the next nation to be explored. Leaks suggest that the update will bring not only playable content, but also important revelations for the game's plot.

Event featuring Bennett and new skins reinforces the focus on visual and thematic content

According to leaks, Genshin Impact will also feature an event focused on Bennett, a beloved character known for his usefulness in various teams. He is expected to play a central role in the update's main quest, with rewards tied to his participation in the storyline.

As part of the event, Bennett will receive a new free skin, which players can obtain during the promotional period. The character Yelan will also get a new skin, but this will only be available in the store through purchase with Genesis Crystals.

The proposal to release themed skins aligned with the new map content reinforces the developer's strategy of renewing interest in already well-known characters. The alternative look usually attracts players who want to customize their teams, in addition to increasing the appeal of seasonal events.
