The official website of the “Ghost in the Shell” franchise released the first teaser of the new animation inspired by the manga by the author “Masamune Shirow”. The official website also reveals a promotional image for the film. The premiere takes place in the summer of this year in Japan.
In the video the text says: “The legendary work of science fiction that caused a revolution around the world/ An original work by Masamune Shirow/ A work in celebration of 25 years/ The awakened ghosts whisper/ Ghost in the Shell: The New Film / Premieres at the beginning of summer [our winter] 2015.”
Scarlett Johansson has been confirmed as the protagonist of the Hollywood version of Ghost In The Shell
Kazuchika Kise (Ghost in the Shell Arise) will be the film's chief animation director.
