Namco Bandai Games has announced its new anime adaptation of God Eater, the company's successful game. To the delight of fans, the animation will be produced by Ufotable (Fate Stay Night, Fate/Zero). The company made this and other announcements during the "God Eater 2 Rage Burst & GE 5th Anniversary Contents Unveiling" event at Tokyo Game Show 2014.

The popular game God Eater 2 will feature a new character named Rivi Koretto, voiced by Hisako Kanemoto. She has the power to adapt to the shinki of other characters. The game will also feature the new weapon "Variant Scythe," which looks like a regular scythe at first glance but has expandable reach for close-range combat.
