Toho has officially confirmed the premiere of Godzilla -0.0 for November 3, 2026 , a date known worldwide as Godzilla Day . The new film will be directed by Takashi Yamazaki , who returns as director, screenwriter, and VFX supervisor after the enormous impact of Godzilla -1.0 .

Furthermore, the film will be released in North America on November 6, 2026 , marking a historic achievement. For the first time, a Japanese production in the franchise will have a virtually simultaneous premiere in Japan and the United States. Meanwhile, other territories should receive release dates soon.

The announcement came with a new promotional visual above, reinforcing the dark and grandiose atmosphere that has become the director's trademark. In this way, the project expands on the dramatic and technical approach that earned international recognition for the previous installment.
Production is once again handled by Toho , with VFX by Shirogumi and production at TOHO Studios in partnership with Robot. Therefore, expectations among fans of Japanese cinema and kaiju remain high for the next major event in the franchise.
