MAiDiGi has released the trailer for the final Godzilla film: The Planet Eater (Godzilla: Hoshi wo Kuu Mono), anime film trilogy produced by Polygon Pictures .
The first film was released in Japan in November 2017 and premiered on Netflix on January 17, 2018. The second film premiered in Japan in May and arrived on Netflix on July 18, 2018.
Polygon Pictures (Knights of Sidonia) is handling the animation, with direction by Kobun Shizuno (Detective Conan, Knights of Sidonia) and Hiroyuki Seshita (Blame!, Ajin), and the story was written by Gen Urobuchi, who has previously presented us with works such as Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero, and Psycho-Pass.
Godzilla inspired two animated series in the West, one by Hanna-Barbera in 1978 and another that served as a sequel to the 1998 film.
