Gokushufudou is getting an anime adaptation in 2021

Netflix Anime Festival 2020 event Kousuke Oono 's manga Gokushufudou will be adapted into an anime in 2021, starring Kenjiro Tsuda, who directed and played Tatsu in the live-action adaptation of the manga.

Synopsis

Tatsu the "immortal" is a former yakuza who abandoned a life of violence to become a stay-at-home dad and support his salaried wife Miku, but even so, he manages to get into trouble; however, instead of fights in dark alleys, they are arguments over discounts at the supermarket.

Staff

Chiaki Kon ( Higurashi no Naku Koro ni ) is directing the anime at JC Staff . Susumu Yamakawa ( Back Street Girls: Gokudols ) is supervising the scripts.

Author Kousuke Oono created an illustration to commemorate the anime!

Furthermore, in July of this year, NTV announced a live-action adaptation of the manga .

Finally, Gokushufudou by Kousuke Oono has been published by Shinchosha in Brunch Comics and Kurage Bunchi since February 2018, with 5 volumes to date. In 2018, Gokushufudou ranked first in the Overall and Comedy categories in Pixiv's Comic Ranking and second in the "Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics of 2018 " .
