The new anime Goodbye, Lara ( Sayonara Lara ) received a new teaser this Saturday (27). However, the premiere will take place in 2026 with animation by the studio Kinema Citrus ( Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon ).

Synopsis Goodbye Lara:
The plot of Goodbye Lara follows a mermaid who makes a forbidden wish: to be loved by a human. After her death, she is reborn 200 years later in modern Japan, on the serene Lake Biwa. There, she learns to adapt to the human world, full of challenges and discoveries. Lake Biwa, located in Shiga Prefecture, is not only a stunning setting but also the birthplace of director Takushi Koide, adding a personal and authentic layer to the narrative.
Finally, the Kinema Citrus is known for producing well-known anime such as Made in Abyss and Revue Starlight.
