Synopsis

Self-proclaimed "Japan's greatest con artist," Makoto Edamura primarily targets elderly people and occasional foreign travelers. However, while attempting to swindle a seemingly unsuspecting French tourist in Tokyo, he can't imagine that what appeared to be just another ordinary job will lead him to Los Angeles, hanging upside down from the famous Hollywood sign… And he has yet to discover what destiny awaits him!

The anime features a large portion of the staff from the first anime returning. Hiro Kaburagi returns as director, now also in charge of series composition along with Taku Kishimoto, and former head writer Ryota Kosawa is now credited as script supervisor. Mai Teshima is now the assistant director. Shōsuke Ishibashi replaces Kyoji Asano as chief animation director, joining returning Hirotaka Katō in the chief animation direction credits. Keita Shimizu is no longer credited for design, while Akiyo Okuda and Shōsuke Ishibashi remain credited. Yumiko Sudou is now credited as art director, alongside returning art director Yūsuke Takeda.

Finally, the anime premiered in July 2020.
