Due to a live-streamed event on the Niconico channel, a trailer for the anime Hamatora the Animation was revealed. The project is a collaboration between chief director Seiji Kishi (Danganronpa, Persona 4 The Animation, Angel Beats!), and writer Yukinori Kitajima. Character design is by Yuki Kodama (Blood Lad).

Synopsis: In the year 2014 (Yokohama), "Hamatora" is a detective agency formed by Nice and Murasaki, but their "office" is a table at Café Nowhere where they and their friends wait for clients. An old acquaintance of theirs, police officer Art, hires them for a series of murders he's investigating, eventually discovering that all the victims are "Minimum Holders." Because Nice and Murasaki are "Minimum Holders," whether they want to or not, they are drawn into this case.
