The official website for the anime adaptation of Sou Hamayumiba's novel, Hanayamata, has released a new promotional video. The video features the opening theme song "Hana Odore ya Iro wa Niho" performed by the voice cast 's . The series will premiere on TV Tokyo on July 8th.
The website announced that Namco Bandai will release an adaptation for the PS Vita. The release date remains a secret. Atsuko Ishizuka (The Girl Pet de Sakurasou, No Game, No Life) is directing the anime at studio MADHOUSE. Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Girls und Panzer, Tamako Market)is writing and supervising the scripts, and Atsuko Watanabe (GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class, Juden Chan, The Everyday Tales of a Cat God) is designing the characters.
The story revolves around Naru , who leads a normal , everyday life , even though she adores " heroines." She embarks on a journey to an extraordinary world called " Yosakoi" dance , guided by a girl she met one night .
