The official website for the anime adaptation of Makoto Kawai's " Happy Cooking Graffiti"
The series will star Rina Satou (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal) as Ryo Machiko, Asuka Ogame (Vividred Operation, Kokoro Connect) as Kirin Morino, and Mikako Komatsu (Nisekoi, K) as Shiina.
The story follows Ryo, a high school girl who lives alone. She has a gift for cooking, and she befriends everyone through her food. The manga is full of detailed culinary art to whet the appetite, and the eating scenes are slightly erotic. The "Kōfuku" in the title is a play on two Japanese homonyms—one meaning "happiness," and the other meaning "appetite."
Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Monogatari series director Akiyuki Shinbo will direct Happy Cooking Graffiti, where he serves as chief director at Shaft. Mari Okada (Selector Infected Wixoss, AKB0048) will be in charge of series composition, and Kazuya Shiotsuki (Nisekoi chief animation director, Madoka Magica animation director) will design the characters. The series will premiere this winter in Japan.
