Kōfuku-Graffiti-1

The official website for the anime adaptation Happy Cooking Graffiti (Kōfuku Graffiti) has released its promotional trailer. The slogan in the video reads: "I want to be filled with you." The series will premiere this winter.

The series will star Rina Satou (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal) as Ryo Machiko, Asuka Ogame (Vividred Operation, Kokoro Connect) as Kirin Morino, and Mikako Komatsu (Nisekoi, K) as Shiina.

The story follows Ryo, a high school girl who lives alone. She has a gift for cooking, and she makes friends with everyone through her food. The manga is full of detailed culinary art to whet the appetite, and the meal scenes are slightly erotic. The "Kōfuku" in the title is a play on words with two Japanese homonyms – one meaning "happiness," and the other meaning "appetite.".

Akiyuki Shinbo, director of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the Monogatari series, will direct Happy Cooking Graffiti, where he is currently the chief director at Shaft. Mari Okada (Selector Infected Wixoss, AKB0048) will be in charge of series composition, and Kazuya Shiotsuki (Nisekoi chief animation director, Madoka Magica animation director) will design the characters. The series will premiere this winter in Japan.
