Message from Chinjao Musume:

In episode 1, Tsuyoshi was tormented by the feeling of being left behind by the world. It's exciting to see how far he's come…

During the manga's planning phase, he was defined simply as a "negligent college student," but now he's grown up and become the protagonist of an anime.

This is undoubtedly thanks to Nogami-sensei's hard work and the support of all of you. As the author, I feel a joy similar to watching a nephew grow up.

Tsuyoshi-kun, I hope you continue to shine in the future. Take care of your liver…! Oh, and of course, the anime will feature an appearance by a select group of waifus, including Yui-san, your aunt. Don't miss it!”

Nogami Tama also wrote:

"The anime Hitozuma Kan Chuhai is a reality! This is only possible thanks to the support of our readers. Thank you so much!"

When I first heard the news, my reaction was, “Huh? Really…? This can be done in anime…?” Joy and worry were mixed in equal parts, but of course the team is working on the production to make sure everything fits together well… making the most of the story.

As a viewer, I can't wait to see Tsuyoshi and the heroines in action and hear them talk. When and with which waifu will he drink this time…? I can't wait for them to appear! I hope many people enjoy the series.”

The publisher Kodansha began serializing the manga in February 2021 through its online service YanMaga. The work was a success and received fully colored versions.

Synopsis of Hitozuma no Kuchibiru wa Kan Chuuhai no Aji ga Shite

Tsuyoshi, a 22-year-old university student, spends his days juggling classes and his job as a food delivery driver, always with a can of strong chuuhai within arm's reach. He lives alone in a small apartment, and his routine takes an unexpected turn when he becomes involved with Yui Koriyama, a married woman he has admired since childhood. What begins as an innocent connection soon transforms into something much more intimate, blurring the lines between longing, desire, and morality. Against a backdrop of quiet nights and stolen moments, this daring and comedic tale explores the thrill and complications of an illicit romance, where each encounter is intoxicating and dangerous.
